چکیده
Background: Garden pea is a cool season vegetable crop cultivated extensively throughout the world. Besides nutritional quality it also boosts soils through fixation of atmospheric nitrogen. The most important task breeding to develop varieties with high and stable production, different maturity types resistance against biotic abiotic stresses. To fulfil these objectives, analysis genetic diversity prerequisite choose genetically diverse parents for successful hybridization program know source genes particular trait within available germplasm. Methods: A study was conducted at ICAR-Indian Institute Vegetable Research (IIVR), Varanasi during 2015, using principle component analysis, correlation stepwise regression approaches assess present in 160 genotypes identification use improvement. Result: Based on phenotypic data, three superior VRPD-2, VRPR-15 VRP-292 were identified basis pod yield, number pods per plant, ten weight, length seeds whereas other VRPE-45-1, VRPE-55 VRPE-36 found early flowering. Principle Component Analysis revealed that first four components contributed 85% total variation so given due importance further explanation. Stepwise multiple weight internode best predictors yield plant.

Genetic control of floral zygomorphy in pea (Pisum sativum L.).
Floral zygomorphy (flowers with bilateral symmetry) has multiple origins and typically manifests two kinds of asymmetries, dorsoventral (DV) and organ internal (IN) asymmetries in floral and organ planes, respectively, revealing the underlying key regulators in plant genomes that generate and superimpose various mechanisms to build up complexity and different floral forms during plant developme...
متن کاملRole of nitrogen content of pea (Pisum sativum L.) on pea aphid (Acyrthosiphon pisum Harris) establishment
The leaf nitrogen content is generally accepted as an indicator of food quality and as a factor affecting host selection by phytophagous insects. The alate pea aphids (Acyrthosiphon pisum Harris, Aphididae) were given a choice among non-nodulated pea plants (Pisum sativum L.) supplied with one of four nitrate-N levels (0, 3, 15 and 30 mM). When whole plants were exposed to aphids for 7 days, th...
متن کاملGENETIC DIVERSITY IN ADVANCED GENERATION OF VEGETABLE PEA (Pisum sativum L.)
Twenty five advanced lines among them twelve lines obtained from the cross between Edible Podded Pea and IPSA Motorsuty-1, nine obtained from the cross between Local White and IPSA Motorsuty-3 and five parental lines were included to measure genetic diversity. The field experiment was conducted at the research farm, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Agricultural University, Gazipur, Bangladesh....
متن کاملIdentification of Cytokinins of Root Nodules of the Garden Pea, Pisum sativum L.
Five cytokinin activities which induced soybean callus proliferation were detected in ethanol extracts of root nodules of the garden pea (Pisum sativum L., cv. Little Marvel). The most active factors among them were identified as zeatin and its riboside on the basis of their mobility on thin layer chromatography in three solvent systems. Smaller activities of zeatin ribotide, isopentenyladenine...
متن کاملPea (Pisum sativum L.) Growth Mutants
This review is devoted to the Pisum sativum L. growth mutants. These mutants are presented by several groups of plants. The first group is characterized by short internodes (dwarf mutants le, na, lk, la, lh, ls) or by elongated internodes (slender mutant sln). The stem growth of mutants of both types (dwarf and slender) is controlled by hormones (GA and IAA) in the stem or in seeds. Mutants cha...
